Every PDF carries an invisible set of properties — its Title, Author, Subject, and Keywords — stored in the document's information dictionary. You usually never see them, but they matter: the Title is what shows in a browser tab instead of the filename, and the Author and software details can quietly reveal who made a file. This tool lets you set those fields cleanly, or strip them out entirely, all in your browser.

Advanced tip. For anonymity before publishing, use Clear All Fields to blank the Title, Author, Subject, and Keywords so the file carries no identifying properties.

Common mistake to avoid. A clean filename isn't the same as clean metadata — rename the file and set the Title field, since viewers often show the Title, not the filename.
