It also reads the fun facts people look up on their birthday: the zodiac sign for the date, and the traditional birthstone and birth flower for the birth month. How to Use the Birthday Calculator

Step 2: Set the February 29 rule if it applies

How is "days lived" calculated?

It is the whole number of calendar days between your birth date and today. People use it as a days-lived counter or a milestone tracker for goals like 10,000 days. The figure updates each day as the date rolls over.

How does it handle a February 29 birthday?

Turn on the February 29 rule to celebrate on March 1 in non-leap years, which is the common legal-style choice, or leave it off to use February 28. The setting changes the next-birthday date and countdown in years that are not leap years.

What is birthday-year progress?

It is how far you are between your last birthday and your next one, shown as a percentage and a bar. At 0 percent you have just had a birthday; near 100 percent the next one is almost here.

Where do the zodiac sign, birthstone, and birth flower come from?

The zodiac sign is read from the month and day of your birth date using the standard western date ranges. The birthstone and birth flower are the traditional ones for your birth month. They are shown as fun facts alongside the age and countdown results.

Is my birth date uploaded or stored?

No. The calculation runs in your browser with JavaScript. Your birth date and the optional name label are used only for the result and the copied summary, and are never sent to Randomly.online. There is no account to create.
